Background

About

I am a Senior Software Engineer with a PhD in Physics. I studied Physics at the University of Leeds (integrated BSc + MSc, entirely in English as a non-native speaker) and earned my PhD at the University of Debrecen while working within CERN’s CMS Collaboration - one of the largest scientific efforts on Earth (~5,000 physicists, 180+ institutions).

For a decade I contributed to CMS: I developed Pixel Detector offline reconstruction and calibration software, wrote a full Supersymmetry analysis framework in C++ single-handedly, and co-led a single-lepton SUSY search that produced world-leading exclusion limits at the time of publication. I served four consecutive years as a Level 3 Coordinator, ran distributed analyses across tens of thousands of CPU cores on the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid, and delivered well over a hundred scientific presentations. I am a co-contributor to the body of work recognised by the 2025 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.

In 2021 I pivoted into commercial software engineering, leveraging my C++/Python background, and was promoted from Junior to Senior in under four years. I build AWS-native backend microservices (C# .NET, Python, DynamoDB, SQS, Kafka, Redis, EKS, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, ArgoCD). Most recently I have become an internal pioneer of AI-augmented engineering: a structured agentic knowledge base (AGENTS.md methodology) across ~50 repositories, multi-agent orchestration, and a company-wide AI adoption strategy co-developed with leadership.
